Blackfalds GIS arrest two and recover stolen vehicles

Blackfalds RCMP arrested two people and recovered stolen vehicles and drugs in a pair of incidents.

Saturday, Blackfalds RCMP spotted a stolen vehicle and arrested the lone female occupant.

Kailyn Diane Verquin of Red Deer has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of identity documents and failing to comply with a recognizance.

Police also spotted a stolen vehicle in Blackfalds last Tuesday and followed it into Red Deer, where a man was arrested.

Robin Slaney of no fixed address has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, driving while disqualified and possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

Both the accused will be appearing in Red Deer provincial court.
