A Blackfalds grocery store donated more than $15,000 to a children’s charity recently.

Blackfalds Buy-Low presented a cheque to Variety – the Children’s Charity of Alberta Thursday, following several in-store fundraisers the company hosted in support of the organization.

The money will go to support children living with disabilities and specialized needs throughout the province.

“This year Variety Alberta has navigated some notable fundraising challenges as a result of the spread of COVID-19,” said Jana Hands, CEO of Variety Alberta.

“Thanks to the incredible support of Buy-Low Foods, and our many other generous partners, we have been able to continue the work we do in ensuring all children with specialized needs can be active participants within their communities.”
