Blackfalds RCMP are looking for two men who allegedly stole a car at gunpoint on New Year’s Day.

At 9:30 p.m., police were called to Range Road 272A, where there was a reported armed robbery.

Police say four males were sitting in two cars when a green Dodge Ram truck stopped on the road.

Two males from the truck showed what appeared to be shotguns, took the keys belonging to a occupied Mitsubishi Lancer, then drove away, according to Blackfalds RCMP.

Before leaving, they slashed the tires on the second vehicle, leaving it unable to be driven.

One suspect fled in the Dodge Ram and the other fled in the Mitsubishi. Both suspects are believed to be in their early 20s.

The first suspect is described as Caucasian, about five foot eight to six feet in height and slightly chubby, with tattoos on his neck and hands. He has blond eyebrows and was wearing a green bandana and a black hat.

The second suspect is described as Caucasian, about five foot five to five foot eight in height with one tattoo on his hand. He was clean shaven and wearing a grey hoodie.

They were last seen driving south on Highway 2A. The four-door Mitsubishi is grey with the Alberta licence plate CDS4455.

Based on the information provided to police, these suspects are believe to be armed and should not be approached.
