Blackfalds RCMP obtain photo of suspect vehicle after fatal hit and run

Blackfalds RCMP have obtained a photo of a suspect vehicle believed to have been involved in the hit and run that killed a woman in Red Deer County Wednesday.

Police continue to investigate the fatal hit and run, where a female cyclist was struck east of Gasoline Alley at about 6:45 p.m.

Blackfalds RCMP said the 45-year-old victim, who was declared dead on the scene, was hit just south of the traffic circle at 40 Avenue (RR 273) and McKenzie Road.

On Friday, police released a photo of a vehicle taken from local video surveillance of the suspect vehicle and are asking the public to help identify who the vehicle may belong to.

Additionally, RCMP are asking the public for dash camera footage of the Gasoline Alley area around the time of the incident.
