Blackfalds RCMP seek man wanted for weapons trafficking

Police are asking for public assistance to help locate a Calgary man wanted on four counts of weapons trafficking.

In April, Blackfalds RCMP officers, with the assistance of Innisfail RCMP General Investigation Section and Calgary Police Service Firearm Investigative Unit, commenced an investigation in relation to weapons trafficking. As a result, Andrew Joseph Bento, 37, is facing four charges from Blackfalds RCMP.

Police have been unable to locate Bento and obtained a warrant for his arrest in May. Their efforts have been unsuccessful and they are asking for public assistance. Bento is described as six-foot, 194-pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.

If you have any information about Bento’s whereabouts contact Blackfalds RCMP at 403-885-3300 or your local police. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com.
