Blackfalds RCMP looking for suspects in ATM theft

Blackfalds RCMP are looking for two suspects who stole an ATM from a motel lobby in Gasoline Alley on Friday night.

Police say two masked suspects drove up to the main door of the Howard Johnson Motel and stole part of an ATM from the main lobby.

The ATM was damaged and only the bottom section was taken. Attempts are being made to obtain a serial number. The suspects were driving an older sandy coloured Ford quad cab with a sanding hopper attached. They fled the scene and headed north towards Red Deer.

The event was captured on the Motel’s video surveillance footage.

No plate number has been identified at this time.

Anyone who may have information about this is asked to contact Blackfalds RCMP at 403-885-3300 or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), at www.tipsubmit.com.
