Blue Grass Sod Farms Ltd. is set to host its annual family picnic.
The event, in partnership with the City of Red Deer will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Blue Grass Sod Farms Central Spray & Play, downtown beside the Golden Circle.
“Blue Grass Sod Farms has been a part of central Alberta for over 40 years. Partnering with the City of Red Deer for the spray park is the least we can do to give back to the community that has supported us,” said Bruce McEwen, owner of Blue Grass Sod Farms.
The barbecue will start at 11 a.m., with a hot dog lunch followed by entertainment, face painting, draw prizes for the children and adults, and plenty of fun in the spray park.
The free barbecue and picnic will run rain or shine but the spray park may have to close during inclement weather, such as lightning, thunder or hail.
