Body found in burnt vehicle in Stettler

A person was found dead in a burnt vehicle in Stettler on Saturday morning.

RCMP responded to a complaint of a burnt vehicle in a rural area of Stettler around 11:43 a.m. A dead person was found inside the vehicle.

An autopsy will be conducted on Monday at the office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary.

RCMP Major Crimes are assisting Stettler RCMP with this investigation.

Police are investigating. No further information is available at this time.
