Police have discovered the body of a man who went missing last week.

On Sept. 7, Sundre RCMP responded to a report of a missing man from Mountain Aire Lodge in Clearwater County.

Terrance Kereluke, of Regina, Sask., was last seen when he went for a walk at about 9 a.m. Staff members searched the area, but were unable to find him.

A followup search, conducted by Sundre RCMP, with the assistance of police dog services, was unsuccessful on Sept. 7.

Police continued searching the next morning with the help of others.

Searchers found Kereluke’s body in the water near the shore of the Red Deer River on Wednesday at about 2 p.m.

The cause of death has yet to be determined.

Sundre RCMP is working with the chief medical examiner. The matter is under investigation, but is not considered to be criminal in nature.
