A boil water advisory is in place for Red Deer’s Terrace Park area.

A water leak is the reason behind the advisory.

City of Red Deer employees hand delivered notices door to door to affected properties.

The advisory will remain in place until water tests confirm there is no contamination.

The city is expected to provide an update when the advisory is lifted. Door-to-door notifications will be delivered again.

Should the affected area be too large that door knocking is not feasible, electronic sign boards will be put in the affected areas alerting residents.

During a boil water advisory, residents are asked to bring water to a rolling boil, for at least one minute. Discard all ice cubes, food and beverages that were made with unboiled water after the boil water advisory was issued.
