Red Deerians looking for a healthy alternative for Halloween giveaways can distribute Boo Booklet tickets to trick-or-treaters.

Starting Oct. 8, Boo Booklets are available for purchase from city recreation facilities, including the Collicutt Centre, G.H. Dawe Community Centre, Michener Aquatic Centre and Recreation Centre. The booklets contain 10 tickets; each ticket is valid for a single child or youth entry to a city recreation facility.

Tickets are valid starting Nov. 1 and expire Dec. 31.

“We want to encourage healthy, active living for Red Deerians, specifically the kids in our community, with this promotion,” said Barb McKee, recreation superintendent. “Boo Booklets are a great option for anyone looking for a healthier alternative to candy for trick-or-treaters.”
