Bowden Institution inmate death being probed

24-year-old inmate had been in prison since November 2019 for drug trafficking

Correctional Service Canada is investigating the death of an inmate at Bowden Institution on Thursday.

Logan Mitchell, 26, had been an inmate since Nov. 22, 2019.

He was serving a sentence of three years, one month and 23 days for two counts of failing to comply with conditions of court orders and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.
