Red Deer City RCMP are asking the public for help in investigating a break-in at Burger King early Monday morning.

The break-in was discovered shortly after 6:30 a.m. by an employee coming in to work.

Police believe the incident occurred at the restaurant on 50th Avenue in the early morning hours.

Police alleged the suspect must have tried to pry open the north doors before successful gaining entry through Burger King’s rear door.

Inside, a large safe was found damaged but unopened.
