A man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of young Red Deer mother Teagan Klein.

Brett Donald Jones, 20, who showed no emotion when he stood before Justice Monica Bast in Court of Queen’s Bench Monday morning, also pleaded guilty to unlawful confinement and theft.

He has been remanded for a psychiatric assessment, and will appear in court again Feb. 24 for sentencing.

Klein, 23, was the mother of a three-year-old boy. She was found deceased in her Anders home on Feb. 4.

Jones was later arrested in Edmonton after a missing vehicle was found in that community.
