Starting Monday, traffic across the CPR bridge on Edgar Industrial Drive near Highway 11 will be restricted to one lane of alternating traffic.

The lane restriction will remain in place 24 hours a day until the project is complete, which is estimated to be in mid-August.

A full closure of the bridge will also be scheduled during at least one weekend to replace bridge components.

The bridge will be undergoing a major rehabilitation to replace deteriorated elements and upgrade safety components to extend the life of the structure.

Lane widths will be restricted to 3.5 metres. No oversized vehicles are permitted.

Drivers are asked to use an alternate route if possible, and expect delays in this area.
