Building permit values continued rising in July, says the City of Red Deer.

This past month there were 94 approved permits, valued at $9.4 million, compared to 99 permits issued in July 2020 worth $5.3 million.

Notable permits in July 2021 include:

  • Expansion of an existing fire training tower at 4343 78 St Crescent, valued at $4.09 million;
  • Demolition of an existing building and trailer, and to rebuild a new 429.58 square-metre industrial building at 4310 77 St., valued at $980,000;
  • Demolition of a single-family house with attached garage, basement development covered and uncovered deck at 3745 44 Ave., valued at $259,216;
  • Tenant improvements for a veterinary clinic at 7101 50 Ave., valued at $250,000.

From January to July, there have been 696 permits valued at $78.6 million this year, compared to the 483 permits, valued at $102.3 million, during the same time period in 2020.
