CALGARY — The Calgary Humane Society is over its capacity after seizures of more than 60 cats and birds.

The first seizure involved 35 cats and the other involved 27 birds.

Brad Nichols says both involved hoarding and charges are pending.

He says usually in hoarding the animals are feral and inbred animals that need a lot of medical attention.

But Nichols says the cats and birds appear well-adjusted.

He says they will be good house pets once their medical issues are treated.
