Non-profit groups are invited to apply for funding through the City of Red Deer’s Community Recreation Enhancement Grant.

The program provides funding to enhance the delivery of community recreation programs, services and events in Red Deer.

The city said it’s proud to offer supportive grant opportunities to assist local sport and recreation organizations in delivering a variety of services to the community as they navigate through a post-pandemic recovery.

Applications are accepted twice per year. Completed applications must be submitted prior to the deadlines of 12:00 p.m. on April 1 or October 1 of the funding year.

In 2021, the city awarded over $90,000 to community sport and recreation groups in order to support and enhance their ability to deliver recreation services and programs to Red Deerians.

Last fall, the intake for the Community Recreation Enhancement Grant, moved to an online submission process. The submission system is quick to set up and easy to use. All applications must be submitted via online portal available at www.reddeer.ca/RecreationGrants.
