Camilla The Triple Theatre Cow is getting ready to sing and dance her way into the hearts of audiences of all ages in Lacombe this week.

Written by Cow Patti’s artistic director AnnaMarie Lea and Valerie Barrett, Camilla is a play within a play about a group of young actors who are about to put on a show.

Just as the ensemble (ages seven to 16) is readying to burst into song —Thank God I’m a Country Cow — and to bust a few square-dance moves, everything starts to go wrong. Their set and costumes get sent to Lacombe, Louisiana, instead of Lacombe, AB, and their lead is potentially lured away by a professional acting opportunity.

Can this ill-fated show go on? Central Albertans will have to attend a performance of Camilla the Triple Threat Cow to find out.

This original musical is presented by Lacombe’s Cow Patti Theatre in partnership with the Lacombe Performing Arts Centre will run Feb. 3-5 and 10- 12 — at the Lacombe Performing Arts Centre. For more information, please visit Lacombe PAC.com.
