Rocky Mountain House RCMP have charged a male with attempted murder and firearms-related offences.
Police were called to a hospital because of reports of a man having been shot multiple times.
The shooting happened at a campground and the victim was taken by a private vehicle to the hospital. He was then flown by STARS air ambulance to an Edmonton hospital, where he’s listed in stable condition.
Edward Allister Mckenzie, 20, of Rocky Mountain House, has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm without a licence and use of a firearm in the commission of an offence.
Mckenzie remains in custody and will be appearing in Red Deer provincial court Friday.
