Canola fields across Central Alberta are exploding with colour as the canola crop ripens and turns much of the landscape into bright yellow fields. For Roel Soniega, taking a photo of Edna Solaina, Ayzhelmor Tultog and Jocelyn Yague, it was his first time seeing a canola field in flower and he just had to get out into the country and take a close look. This field is just north of Red Deer’s 30th Avenue on the way to the River Bend Golf Recreation Area.
