Canyon Ski Resort closed due to extreme cold in Red Deer

It might be too cold to ski.

Due to the extreme cold temperatures, Canyon Ski Resort is closed Tuesday and Wednesday, the resort announced on social media.

Environment Canada predicted a mix of sun and cloud Tuesday afternoon with wind up to 15 km/hr. Forecast for Tuesday evening included a 30 per cent chance of flurries and -45 C overnight.
