Carnival Cinemas is reopening on Friday.
Theatre owner Bill Ramji said he’s thrilled to welcome back customers.
“I hope it sticks this time,” he added, of Alberta’s Stage 2 reopenings, which will include a first step towards returning to normalcy for movie theatres, fitness centres and libraries, as well as larger outdoor gatherings of up to 20 people.
Theatres, which have been closed for many months due to the spread of COVID-19, are being allowed to reopen at 30 per cent capacity.
Carnival Cinemas will be screening films from Friday through Sunday this week — and then will be open four days a week, from Thursday through Sunday, starting on June 17.
Ramji said show times will be three times a day.
