Central Alberta band up for several Country Music Alberta Awards

Lacombe’s Gord Bamford nominated as Male Artist of the Year

Stetter’s Renegade Station is in the running for a handful of country music awards.

The nominees for the 2020 Country Music Alberta Awards were released Wednesday and the band received four nominations.

Renegade Station is up for Single of the Year for their song, Don’t Hold Your Breath, as well as Fan’s Choice, Interactive Artist of the Year, and Group of the Year.

The band has collected several country music awards in the past, including the 2018 Alberta Country Music single of the year and the 2025 and 2016 ACMA Group of the Year.

Lacombe’s Gord Bamford also received a nomination Wednesday, earning a look as the Male Artist of the Year. Brett Kissel, Aaron Goodvin and Jade Eagleson were also nominated in the category.

Other nominees included Mariya Stokes, Michela Sheedy, Alex Hughes, Hailey Benedict and Krissy Feniak in the Female Artist of the Year category.

The Group or Duo of the Year nominees also include Nice Horse, The Prairie States, The Dungarees and Flaysher.
