Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre launches fundraising lottery

Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre has started its annual fundraising campaign.

The Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre’s 50/50 Cash Lottery raises much-needed funds to support services and programs that help the most vulnerable.

Each year, the centre supports hundreds of children from across Central Alberta who have experienced abuse. The goal is for a child to only have to share their story once – eliminating the chance of re-victimization and helping them through their journey of healing one step at a time.

This year’s Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre 50/50 Cash Lottery jackpot is set at $400,000.

Mark Jones, the CEO of the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre, said “The success of last years’ lottery allowed us to help more children and families from across Central Alberta.”

Nearly 1,800 children have been helped so far, from disclosure to court appearances.

Jones said October and November are usually some of the busiest months, “so, we hope people will consider buying a ticket to help us help these kids.”

For more information about the lottery and tickets visit www.cacac5050.ca. You can also call the centre directly at 587-272-2233.

The CACAC 50/50 Cash Lottery Early Bird deadlines are Dec. 2, 9, 16 and 23. Final deadline is Feb. 4, 2022, at 11:00 p.m. The draw is on Feb. 10.
