Central Alberta drivers warned snow coming early Tuesday morning

Two to five centimetres expected to start falling about 3 a.m. Tuesday

Mainroad is alerting drivers going through central Alberta to expect two to five centimetres of snow beginning around 3 a.m. Tuesday.

The company that maintains the provonce’s highways says drivers should be prepared changing road and weather conditions and to drive accordingly.

Before heading out, check 511 Alberta.

Mainroad crews will be performing snow removal operations and applying winter materials as the conditions warrant.

To report changing conditions or a road hazard, you can call Mainroad’s 24-hour public information hotline toll free 1-877-875-3263 – the operator will log feedback and pass onto crews in the area.
