The Central Alberta Humane Society has launched its end of the year fundraiser: The Giving Tree
Thursday marked the official beginning of The Giving Tree. All donations form the fundraiser will provide funds for the shelter to treat, care for and re-home unwanted, abandoned and stray companion animals in central Alberta.
“This year, CA Humane’s Giving Tree fundraiser features a wish list of necessary items needed for the overall enrichment of the shelter,” the nonprofit organization said in a press release.
“Some of the items include Gumbo’s Fund: a strategic fund to assist in the medical care and adoption of loving animals that are often overlooked due to having costly medical needs.”
Other items include a kitten incubator, which is worth more than $3,500, and a new microscope, which will cost more than $2,800.
