A Hanna man was recently charged with drug trafficking.

RCMP said on April 21, Drumheller RCMP and Drumheller Crime Reduction Unit were on patrol when they identified a man they knew and recognized was in breach of a court order.

In addition to failing to comply with release conditions, police said they also located what was believed to be methamphetamine, psilocybin, fentanyl, and proceeds of crime.

Michael Farmer, 39, of Hanna, was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of failing to comply with his undertaking.

Farmer was released from custody and was scheduled to appear in Drumheller Provincial Court on Friday.
