Central Alberta man charged with assault

A Lacombe County man faces assault charges after a police investigation on Oct. 24.

Red Deer RCMP, the RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Lacombe Police Service were deployed to the scene after Blackfalds RCMP received a complaint of a dispute at a residence in the area of Highway 2A and Range Road 270a at about 2:10 pm.

RCMP said a 39-year-old man was taken into custody and charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault.

He remained in custody awaiting a judicial hearing.
