A pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle on Hwy 2A south of Wetaskiwin early Sunday morning.
Wetaskiwin RCMP said an investigation indicated that the man was walking in the driving lane of the highway when he was hit by a southbound vehicle.
As a result of his injuries the 37-year-old Maskwacis man died in the hospital
The vehicle involved remained on scene and the driver cooperated with RCMP. Charges are not anticipated and no further information will be provided in relation to this incident.
