The Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre is running its annual Baby Bottle Campaign.

Every dollar donated through canadahelps.org will provide materials and access to support and education for those facing an unplanned pregnancy. The campaign runs until Father’s Day.

The non-profit Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre provides free programs and services to women, men and families. People of any gender, race, or religion can access a variety of supports in Red Deer, Olds, Rocky Mountain House, Drumheller, and Stettler.

These include: pregnancy tests, counselling, male mentorship, baby and maternity clothing, post-abortion support, Steps to Sexual Health program, parenting support, and community resources.

There’s also maternity housing in Red Deer for pregnant mothers and babies. The Aerie is a maternity home program for pregnant teens and young women, offering a shelter, pregnancy support and education about positive parenting.

The Aerie, which is staffed 24/7, has a capacity for up to 11 women and their infants. Residents who meet the eligibility criteria enter Phase 1 of the program during their pregnancy and move into Phase 2 when their infant is approximately 6 months.

Phase 2 residents can be invited to stay until their child is about 2 years, to continue pursuing education and/or employment goals while strengthening parenting and life skills.
