Innisfail RCMP seized a load of plywood suspected of being stolen after the truck hauling the wood collided with an Innisfail RCMP vehicle early Wednesday morning.

Innisfail RCMP said after a GMC Sierra truck collided with a police vehicle on 49A Avenue, the vehicle sped off for a short distance before the occupants fled on foot.

A 47-year-old male passenger, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene. The male driver and another female passenger were not located.

RCMP said police seized the truck which was carrying a large amount of four-foot by eight-foot sheets of OSB plywood believed to have been recently stolen from an unknown construction site.

Police are trying to locate the owners of the plywood. Anyone who has had OSB plywood stolen is asked to contact the Innisfail RCMP.
