Neal Arksey was shocked when he checked his LOTTO MAX ticket and discovered he had won $100,000 during the Feb. 16 EXTRA draw.
“I checked my ticket on the app,” he said. “When I saw all of the zeroes come up on the screen I had to sit down.”
“I was shaking and stunned – I couldn’t believe it.”
The happy winner said he has a couple ideas for his winnings.
“My wife and I are going to pay some bills and put some money away for our kids,” he said. “We’d also like to take a trip somewhere when the travel restrictions have been lifted.”
Arksey’s winning ticket was itself a prize; he redeemed a free ticket won on a previous draw at the Circle K located at 1 Sylvan Drive in Sylvan Lake. He won his prize by matching the last six numbers on the EXTRA draw.
