Central Alberta students receive scholarships at University of Alberta

University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus have awarded scholarships to four Central Alberta students for 2017-2018 school year.

Thomas Zimmerman, of Red Deer, a first year Bachelor of Science student, was given $1,100 funded by an Augustana Faculty Honours Entrance Scholarship and an Augustana Faculty Award in Volleyball.

Nicholas Beggs of Red Deer, a second year Bachelor of Arts student, was awarded $1,000, funded by The Sophia Award in Philosophy and Religion.

Second year Bachelor of Arts program students, Racquel Deveau, of Springbrook and Dean Wilson, of Red Deer, were awarded $750, funded by an Augustana Faculty Fine Arts Award in Drama.

Three hundred and forty six UAlberta Augustana Campus students have received scholarships for this academic year.

More than $749,500 was provided by the University of Alberta and Augustana Campus in recognition of excellence in academics, fine arts, athletics, and leadership. Support comes from donors, investment earnings on endowments and from faculty funded awards.
