The Central Alberta Tibetan community gathered recently at the Valley Centre Community Centre, east of the city, for a banquet that entertained more than 170 people. A fashion show, dancing and drumming and ethnic meal were topped by silent and live auctions to raise money for a Himalayan orphanage.
