Central Alberta woman wins $100,000 Scratch ‘N’ Win lottery prize

“I’m still in shock,” she says

A Red Deer-area woman got an extra-thrilling surprise upon scanning her lottery ticket.

Marsha White discovered she’d won a $100,000 prize instead of the $10,000 she initially thought she had scored with her Crossword Tripler Scratch ‘N’ Win ticket.

“I scratched it, but I guess I missed a letter … when I scanned it on the WCLC Lottery Manager app it said I was a $100,000 winner!”

White hasn’t decided what to do with the money, but knows she’ll put some of her windfall towards her retirement and give some to her children.

“I think I’m still in shock,” she said. “It doesn’t feel real.”

The Western Canadian Lottery Corporation ticket was purchased at the Fas Gas East Hill, 100, 3020-22nd St.
