The Red Deer River Naturalists, Nature Alberta and the Kerry Wood Nature Centre are teaming up to host a family nature night.
Tweets in the Trees will happen from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Aug. 10 at the Kerry Wood Nature Centre. The event is tailored for children between five and 12, but all ages are welcome to participate
The event will feature a 40-minute walk around the Gaetz Lake Migratory Bird Sanctuary, to explore the different habitat types and learn what kind of birds are found in each area. There will also be a 20-minute take-home craft and a 20-minute talk about birds.
Tweets in the Trees will be capped at 150 people, so those interested in attending are asked to come at 6 p.m. to register.
