Central Albertans are being invited to a public meeting next week hosted by Alberta Health Services Yellowhead East Health Advisory Council.
The in person meeting, to discuss local health care delivery and services will take place on Sept. 28, from 5-8 p.m., with AHS Central Zone leadership in attendance to answer questions. To join the meeting, email yellowheadeast@ahs.ca with the subject line ‘Meeting’ for location.
According to a release, the meeting is designed to bring your community’s voice forward to provide input on local and regional health, hear from local AHS leadership and provide feedback to AHS regarding healthcare services to inform decision-making and learn more about the YEHAC. Individuals will also learn more about navigation 811 and how 911 and 811 are working together in the Central Zone

Health Advisory Councils play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of AHS by engaging members of their communities throughout Alberta in a respectful, transparent and accountable manner. Public participation is essential to improving the quality and accountability of health services. Working in partnership with AHS is an important way to ensure services are more responsive to the needs of those who use them.
