Spring cleaning season is upon us, and so are the garage sales.
The Central Alberta Humane Society is accepting gently used household and personal items for the shelter’s annual garage sale.
The sale is the biggest fundraising event for the society, raising about $80,000 last year.
Donations can be delivered until May 26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., to the Pidherney Curling Centre. Clothing, shoes, large appliances, televisions, computers, tires, mattresses and box springs will not be accepted.
The entire curling centre will be filled with various household items, antiques and collectibles during the garage sale.
The money raised will support veterinary costs for animals that need extra care while waiting to be adopted.
The sale runs May 31 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., June 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and June 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The VIP advance shopping night (limited to 200 people) is May 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit cahumane.com.
