Aspiring singers will have the chance for a once an a lifetime opportunity at the 48th Canadian Finals Rodeo.

Wednesday, the CFR unveiled its new ‘ANTHEM’ program– giving entrants a cahnce to be the official Canadian anthem singer for the national rodeo championship later this year.

On Thursday, Oct. 13 at Bo’s Bar and Stage, a group of 10 hopefuls will perform two songs of their choice for a panel of celebrity judges and a room full of CFR fans. Voting will be weighted between the selection of the celebrity judge panel and on the spot crowd-voting, with the winner being chosen from a final group of three finalist performers.

The contest opens on Sept. 22 and closes Sept. 30th. Contests must submit their resume as well as an audio clip. From that group, the top 10 will be invited to perform at Bo’s.
