Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools is making some changes in Sylvan Lake.

Students going into Grade 3 this fall will remain at École Our Lady of the Rosary School, instead of heading to sister-school, École Mother Teresa Catholic School as they did in past years.

The changes mean École Our Lady of the Rosary School will become a pre-kindergarten to Grade 3 school and École Mother Teresa will have Grades 4 to 9.

Four portables will be installed at École Our Lady of the Rosary this summer to accommodate the extra students.

Both schools will continue to offer French Immersion programming.

Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools serves over 9,500 students in 19 schools in Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, Rocky Mountain House, Innisfail and Olds.
