Three men were taken into custody with one now facing charges after police seized a number of drugs at a home in Red Deer on July 17.

Red Deer RCMP, along with members of the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) and police dogs, searched a house and associated truck in the Kentwood neighbourhood.

They found several grams of heroin, approximately 39 grams of cocaine (both powder cocaine and crack cocaine), about 13 grams of methamphetamine, 15 Oxycodone tablets, approximately 500 ml of GHB (also known as the date rape drug,) plus over 1,000 assorted pills that have yet to be identified.

The drugs were packaged for resale, police said.

Three canisters of mace/pepper spray, three replica firearms and over $3,000 were also seized.

The three men were taken into custody without incident and a 33-year-old has been charged with multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance, as well as with possession of a prohibited device and a prohibited weapon.

He remains in custody and will appear in court on Thursday.
