Red Deer RCMP are looking for two suspects after reports that two drunk males tore through City Hall Park on an ATV, trenching grass and damaging flower beds.

At about 4:45 a.m. Friday morning police were called to City Hall Park in downtown Red Deer to a report of two males driving through the park on an ATV.

One witness said the two males appeared to be intoxicated, but was unable to provide a description of the suspects. However, the ATV is described as a Can-Am Renegade.

Police made extensive patrols of the area, but did not locate the suspects or the ATV.

The damage to several flowerbeds in the park was extensive. City officials do not yet have an estimate as to the dollar value of that damage.

Anyone with information that may assist police in solving this crime is asked to call Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575 or, if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or report it online at www.tipsubmit.com.
