The City of Red Deer is responding to a power outage that is affecting the northwest area of the city.
On its Twitter page, city officials reported the outage at 12:15 p.m. and as a result, cancelled some activities at the G.H. Dawe Centre.
Power was temporarily restored in some areas by 1 p.m., but some areas will be without power or limited power until around 2:30 p.m.
