Police are seeking a suspect from a convenience store robbery in southeast Red Deer early on Wednesday morning.

Police are seeking a suspect from a convenience store robbery in southeast Red Deer early on Wednesday morning.

According to an RCMP release, a lone male entered the Mac’s Convenience Store at 2950 22nd St. around 3:15 a.m., brandishing a knife.

The suspect, wearing blue jeans and a black hoodie, demanded cash, cigarettes and a few other small items.

He then left on foot, headed east.

The suspect is described as Caucasian and 1.7 metres (five feet seven inches) tall. He was clean shaven and has an athletic build.
