The City of Red Deer has announced traffic disruptions that will begin next week.
A contractor will work to address erosion failures along Waskasoo Creek starting on Oct. 10. There will be intermittent traffic disruption along Taylor Drive, between 32 Street and 43 Street, and the ACR trail will be closed during the duration of the project. This work is expected to run until June 2024.
The city is also warning motorists of an upcoming traffic disruption on 43 Street, west of 50 Avenue, for utility services to complete work in the area.
Between 6:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Oct. 10, 43 Street westbound will be closed just west of 50 Avenue. The Red Deer Regional Hospital can be accessed through 42 Street during the temporary closure.
“Drivers and pedestrians are reminded to adhere to all traffic signs and speed limits, park only in designated areas, and cross only in crosswalks,” the City of Red Deer stated in a media release.
