City of Red Deer highlights real tree drop off locations
There are a number of locations around the City of Red Deer where residents can drop off their Christmas tree.
Real trees dropped off at the following locations will be used as mulch in the city’s park system:
l Timberstone: west side of Timberstone Way at Teasdale
l Davenport: south east corner of Davenport Rec site - off Dempsey
l Eastview Estates: south east corner of Rec site (south of the rink shelter) along Ellenwood Drive
l Vanier Woods: east side of Viscount drive – AltaLink powerline
l Ironstone: southeast corner of ironstone dr and inglewood dr @rec site
l Bower: off of 36 Barrett Drive – under the AltaLink
l Rec park: south west end of parking lot (across from Servus Arena/curling rink)
l Westpark: green space - south east corner of 60th Ave & 43rd St (on the way to Heritage Ranch)
l Oriole Park: on Overdown drive – north of Ohio close
l 71st St. (Niven): North side in front of Dutchman Flats easement
l Kentwood West: Kendrew Drive - across from Kent St, south west end of the Kendrew rec site
