City of Red Deer seeks Community Recreation Enhancement Grant applicants

The City of Red Deer is inviting nonprofit groups to apply for funding through the Community Recreation Enhancement Grant.

This program provides funding to enhance the delivery of community recreation programs, services and events in Red Deer.

Applications are accepted two times per year. Completed applications must be submitted prior to the deadlines of noon on April 1.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has brought, and continues to bring, many challenges and we know our community groups are working tirelessly to adapt their service delivery. We are dedicated to supporting them in their development of recreation opportunities in 2021,” said Barb McKee, city recreation superintendent.

In 2020, the city awarded approximately $100,000 to community sport and recreation groups.
