Ross Street will be closed on Saturday and Sunday because of Centrefest.

And traffic disruptions will move north to 77th Street next week.

For this weekend, motorists are advised of traffic disruptions on Ross Street downtown, starting at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3. Ross Street will be closed between 49 and 50 Avenue until 10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Detours will be in place and signs will notify motorists of the lane closures.

From Sept. 6 and 13, motorists and pedestrians will experience traffic disruptions at the intersection of 77 Street and Kentwood Drive, due to traffic signal infrastructure installation.

Lane closures will happen intermittently as crews complete the installation. The lights will be in flashing mode with workers on site starting on Sept. 13. The lights will be fully operational on Sept. 15.

Drivers are reminded to slow down and obey all signs when driving in construction zones. Pedestrians are reminded to cross only at designated crosswalks.

All road construction is weather dependent, and schedules may be subject to change. For information about road construction and closures visit www.reddeer.ca/roadclosures.
