The city’s first community Graffiti Clean Up day needs more volunteers on Saturday.

The city has teamed up with the local RCMP, the Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre (CACPC) and the Downtown Business Association to wipe the buildings and alleys free from graffiti in the downtown.

Fernando Paganelli, community police officer, said they hope to have at least 20 groups made up of three volunteers led by a police officer. Volunteers are asked to meet at the CACPC office (108-4711 51st Avenue) at 1 p.m. They will be divided into groups and given a map of the tagged areas and cleaning kits. The clean up is expected to take between two to three hours.

For more information call Paganelli at 403-342-8328 or CACPC at 403-986-9904 or email crime.prevention@hotmail.com
